What's with the name of this blog?

I awoke this morning with a desire to document stories about me and my family.  As I was researching how I could do this, I found this blog.  So today, this blog will morph into a repository for the information I am going to record for my children.  Stories, videos, audio clips, etc.  I don't expect this to be interesting to anyone other than myself and maybe my family.

To start, I thought it is important to record a little bit about me and how this blog got its name.

What is your full name? Explain why your parents gave you that name.

My name is Kyle Jay Leonard. I honestly don't know why my parents gave me my name. I don't have in my memory anything around it. I know that my paternal grandfather's middle name is Jay and there are others in the family who have a similar middle name. But I don't know of any significance around why it was chosen or why my first name was chosen.

When and where were you born?

The story I do remember was that my older brother, Cory was really excited to have a new baby brother. I am five years younger than he is. I was born on Halloween night, just before midnight in 1974, ensuring that I was not born on my mother's birthday, which is the 1st of November.

When Cory saw me or my parents talked with him about my name, Cory wanted to name me "Hector Hawk Halloween Leonard." So in family lore, "Hector Hawk" has been a name I have been threatened with, but never really used all my life. When online profiles became a thing, the first online profile name I used was "HectorHawk74." This blog's name was also fashioned after this name.
